Introducing the High-Ability Utah Parent Resource Center

Join us and together we can create a resource for parents of high-ability children in Utah and beyond. Our mission is threefold:

  • to establish a dialogue among parents whose journey includes parenting bright/gifted/talented children  (share your questions, ideas and resources, please!)
  • to provide information and resources on social and emotional needs of bright/gifted/talented children and parenting issues related to those needs
  • to connect parents to local information and resources related to meeting the educational needs of bright/gifted/talented children

In 2008 the Utah State Legislature passed HB 329 funding the High-Ability Student Initiative Program (HASIP) to develop a comprehensive, Internet-based resource center that would provide information about high-ability students to teachers, administrators, parents, and the community. Funding ends in June 2012.
